Henderika D. Chapman

Prudence Island, - Henderika D. Chapman, 85, of 39 Daniel Avenue Prudence Island, died Friday, January 21, 2005 at home. She was the wife of the late Courtney Little and Archie Chapman. Born in Uxbridge, MA on February 13, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Nydam DeVries. Mrs. Chapman was a Licensed Practical Nurse, she had been a private duty nurse for many years. She had been a Nursing Home Administrator for the former Nelson Nursing Home in Middletown, RI for many years. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Union Church Prudence Island, the Prudence Island Sewing Club and the Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by two daughters Prudence Ellsworth and Patricia Rossi both of Prudence Island, RI, four grandchildren Tracey Pedersen of Portsmouth, RI, Eric Ellsworth of Bristol, RI, Ethan Rossi and Michael Rossi both of Prudence Island, RI, one great grand daughter Mikaela Pedersen and one great grandson Niklas Pedersen both of Portsmouth, RI. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 28, 2005 at 10:00 am the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, route 114, Portsmouth, RI.Burial will be private.
