Henry A. Silvia Bristol, RI - Henry A. Silvia, 88, of R. I. Veterans Home, Bristol, RI, formerly of 43 Donna Drive, Portsmouth, died Monday, May 12, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, RI. He was the husband of Elvira Felizberto Silvia. Born in Middletown, RI on July 30, 1919, he was the son of the late Frank Rose and Marian Rose DeSilva.Mr. Silvia was a United States Navy veteran serving in World War II, receiving the America Area Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Point System Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as a bus driver for the Transit Line now RIPTA, Round House Dairy and the Coca-Cola Company. After retiring he worked at the former K-Mart in Middletown. Besides his wife of 65 years this May, he is survived by his sons Steven Silvia of Portsmouth, RI, and Glenn Silvia of Smithfield, RI, and his grandchildren Sarah Silvia and Thomas Silvia.He was the brother of the late John Silvia, Frank Silvia, Joseph Silvia, George Silvia, Manuel Silvia, Agnes Shea, Anne Stafford, Mary Nunes and Margaret Bette. His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at 10:00am, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
