Hanson, 73, of 19 Chapel Street, Newport, RI , formerly of 44 Cowie Street, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005, at his home in Newport, RI. Born in Athens, GA, on November 3, 1932, he was the son of the late Henry H. and Louise Hanson.Mr. Hanson was a Chef for several restaurants in the New York City Area until his retirement in 1995 when he moved to Newport, RI . He is survived by his children, daughters, Henrietta Hanson of Newport, RI, Kim Flemming of Teaneck, NJ, and a Step-daughter Clara Jones of Newport, RI, hissons, Sylvester Hanson of Newport, RI, Henry H. Hanson Jr. of South Carolina, David Hanson of New York , NY, and a stepson, Earl Mundle, of Hartford, CT, twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2005, from 5:00pm to 7:00 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
