Henry Wilson

Bristol, RI - Henry Wilson, Jr., 77, formerly of 87 Girard Avenue, Newport, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at RI Veterans Home, Bristol, RI.He was the husband of the late Beatrice Robinson Wilson. Born in Charlestown, SC on February 17, 1933, he was the son of the late Henry Wilson, Sr. and Lottie Green Wilson. Mr. Wilson served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1971. He was one of nine children, Elizabeth Thomas, Lillian Wilson, Erma White, Carmen Sutton, Lottie Mae Simmons, James Wilson, Lagrae Wilson, Nora Dean and Georgiana Brown. He also has several nieces and nephews, notably Stacey Rhonda Randolph who provided care and assistance for her uncle. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 9:45 a.m. at the Bristol Veterans Home, Metacom Manor, Bristol. RI. A collation will follow after the memorial service for family and friends as well as the staff, caregivers, and fellow residents who were close to Mr. Wilson at the Veterans Home.Internment with Military Honors is to be scheduled for a future date at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter, Rhode Island tentatively in March
