Herbert E. Timberlake

Portsmouth, RI - Herbert E. Timberlake, 76, of 44 Joanne Avenue, Portsmouth, died Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of the late Ellen Victoria Clisbee Timberlake. Born in South Shore, KY, on March 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Peeter and Onie Mae Phillips Timberlake. Mr. Timberlake was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam Era, retiring as a Storekeeper 1st Class, after 30 years of service in 1975. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He is survived by three sons David E. Timberlake of Portsmouth, RI, Barry E. Timberlake of Oklahoma City, OK, and Peter D. Timberlake of Phoenix, AZ, three daughters Susan Timberlake Merritt of Newport, RI, Deborah Andrews of Portsmouth, RI, and Donna Leary of Portsmouth, RI, eight grandchildren Ryan Andrews, Kevin Andrews, Thomas Andrews, Amber Timberlake, Christopher Andrews, Barry Timberlake, Bryan Leary, and Ellen Leary, and two great grandchildren Chloe Andrews and Connor Andrews, and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late William B. Timberlake, James Augustus Timberlake, Carl Timberlake, Howard Timberlake, Clyde Timberlake, Milford Timberlake, Peeter Timberlake, Eugene Timberlake, Jack Timberlake, Lillian Timberlake, Silvia Marie Timberlake, and Marjorie Timberlake. His funeral will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2005, at 10:00 AM in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in St. Marys Churchyard, East Main Road, Portsmouth. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, from 6:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
