Port St. Lucie, - Herve E. ?Harvey? Mailloux, 70, of 1 Santa Maria Court Port St. Lucie, formerly of 98 Montgomery Street, Tiverton, died Monday, December 9, 2002 at Port St. Lucie Medical Center Port St. Lucie , FL.He was the husband of Doris B. Vautrin Mailloux. Born in Fall River, MA on November 27, 1932, he was the son of the late Severin and Lucienne Frenette Mailloux.Mr. Mailloux was a residence of Tiverton, Rhode Island for thirty-five years before retiring to Port St. Lucie, Florida. He worked as an electrician with various companies and taught the trade at Diman Regional Voc. Tec, in Fall River, MA. He retired in 1996 from the Newport Naval Base after thirteen years of service as a construction represenative. He served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1953 to 1960 during the Korean War and was awarded the National Defense Medal. He was a member of the Elks Club of St. Port Lucie and the Knights of Columbus, 3rd Degree of Tiverton, RI. Besides his wife of 39 years Doris B. Mailloux of Port Lucie, FL, three sons David R. Mailloux of Portsmouth, RI, Bryan P. Mailloux of North Dartmouth, MA, and Stephen T. Mailloux of Tiverton, RI, his daughter Susan E. Mailloux of Newport, RI, his brother Raymond Mailloux of Fall River, MA, his sister Germaine Berger of Fall River, MA, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2002, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM in St. Madeleine Sophie, 35 Lake Road, Tiverton. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Harvey?s spirit of generosity the family request that an act of kindness be performed on his behalf or a donation in his memory to the American Lung Association, 1740 Broadway, New York, NY 10014.Arrangements are by the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
