Hilda E. Chase

Newport, RI - Hilda Esther Monks Chase, 80, of 12 Everett Street, Newport, RI, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2009. She was the wife of the late James G. Chase, Jr. Born in Oldham, England, on November 5, 1928, she was the daughter of the late John and Hilda James Monks.Mrs. Chase loved to read, cook, sew, watch old movies, and spend time at the beach, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Chase of Newport. She is preceded in death by her son, John J. Chase.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 10:00 am in St. Marys Churchyard, East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. All are welcome to attend.
