Hilda M. Maynard

Newport, RI - Hilda M. Stone Maynard, 90, of 70 Harrison Avenue, Village House Nursing Home, Newport, formerly of 125 Quaker Hill Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, February 17, 2005, at the Village House Nursing Home, Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Sydney Maynard. Born in Barrington, RI, on July 24, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Maisie Best Stone. Mrs. Maynard worked for Cozzens Rest Home on Francis Street, Newport, for 10 years retiring in 1974. She was a member of Untied Congregational Church and an avid gardener. She is survived by two daughters Linda Kelly of Tiverton, RI, and Jacqueline Ferrarese of Kingston, MA, and a sister Evelyn Alves of Barrington, RI, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Maurice and Raymond Stone and the late Mildred Goss and Marjorie Hatton. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 11:30AM in United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road, Middletown. Burial will be private.
