Hilda M. Violette

Hilda M. (Taplin) Hedderson Violette of Middletown passed away, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Forest Farm Health Care Center.She was the wife of the late Edgar O. J. Violette and the late Bernard Hedderson.Born in Belle Island , New Foundland, Canada, on October 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary (Beesaw) Taplin. She became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in 1966.Mrs. Violette enjoyed reading, Bingo and was an accomplished seamstress. She was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church. Hilda always said "Stay on the sunny side" and was known for doing just that. She was a godly and loving mother and also worked outside the home.She leaves her children Bernie Hedderson of East Greenwich, Edward Violette Jr. of Middletown and Nanette Violette Foote and her husband Kevin of Dighton, MA. She also survived by her daughter in law Jeanne Hedderson. Her grandchildren include, Nicolas Violette, Jesse and Cherie Foote, Derek Foote, Donna LaChance along with great grandsons Nathan Foote and Logan Violette.Preceding her in death was her son John Hedderson and grandson Christopher Violette.We appreciate those who gave loving care to our mother.Funeral services are private.
