Howard Nelson Dunbar

Howard Nelson Dunbar, 67, of 13 Narragansett Avenue Portsmouth, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at home.He was the husband of Patricia A. Cabral Dunbar. Born in Newport, RI on March 11, 1935, he was the son of the late Henry Nelson and Mildred E. White Dunbar.Mr. Dunbar worked at the Naval Underwater Systems Center for 15years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the American Legion, AARP, the Newport Rifle Club and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed woodworking and ceramics. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Timothy J. Dunbar of Portsmouth, RI, and Michael S. Dunbar both of Portsmouth, RI, his brother Ronald W. Dunbar of Newport, RI, and his sister Grace Sivigny of Big Timber, MT. His funeral will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2002, at , in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
