Hunter Roy Capwell

Hunter Roy Capwell, 57, of 45 Cherokee Drive Portsmouth died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. He was the husband of Joanne Elizabeth Quigley Capwell they were married thirty-one years. Born in Oak Bluffs, MA on Feb. 14, 1945, he was the son of the late Harry O. Capwell and Monique D. Hemingway Capwell. Mr. Capwell was employed by the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for 11 years retiring in June 2001. He attended Bryant College. He enjoyed Gardening, Photography, traveling, Scuba Diving and Skiing and also was a avid collector of many things. He is survived by wife- Joanne Elizabeth Capwell of Portsmouth, R.I., one son-Todd Jason Capwell of Portsmouth, RI, three brothers- Bruce R. Capwell Sr. of Greene, RI, Mark Capwell of Greene, R.I. Craig Capwell of Greene, RI, one sister -Dale Jenkins of Coventry, RI, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Thursday, Jul. 11, at 7:45 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, route 114 to be followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.
