Ida Wilson SmithMiddletown, RI - Ida Wilson Smith, 98, of 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of Darien, CT, and 11200 102 2nd Avenue, Seminole, FL, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at the John Clarke Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late James Moore Smith.Born in Lincoln, RI on October. 16, 1911, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Rachel McVey Wilson.Mrs. Smith worked for a yarn brokerage firm in Lincoln, RI as a secretary. She was a member of the Starkey Baptist Church in Seminole, FL and served on its Adult Sunday School Fellowship Class. She is survived by two nieces Nancy Dennis Quinn and her husband Charles of Newport, RI and Virginia Thomson of Providence, RI, a nephew Robert C. Elliott of Newport, RI, and several great nieces and great nephews. She was also the sister of the late Kenneth Wilson and Myron Wilson.Funeral services and burial will be held at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Largo, FL.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John Clarke Patient Activities Fund, 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, 02842.
