Irene Lemke

Middletown, RI - Irene Lemke, 89, of Green End Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Monday, January 17, 2011 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Boston, MA on March 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alice Burmester. She is survived by her grandchildren James Riley, Sean P. Riley, Sheila Lavault, Colleen Medeiros and Sharon Riley. She also leaves her cousins Carroll Lemire and Sandra Scott her goddaughter and friends Ken and Maureen Garthee, Deb Bishop and Nancy Pratt. She was the mother of the late James Riley and sister of the late Jack Allen. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 9:00am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
