Donahue of Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI on February 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Jason John and Ann Elizabeth Kain Craft. Mrs. Donahue was a life long resident in Newport. She graduated from St. Marys School class of 1951 and St. Catherines School class of 1955. She worked for Egans Laudry and also the Opera House Movie Theater and Sears Roebuck Company. Mrs. Donohue also worked for the Newport Canvassing Board. Most importantly she cared for her family as a wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Thomas A. Donahue of Newport, RI, two sons Steven Douglas Carr of Middletown, RI, and Andrew Thomas Donahue of Tiverton, RI, and one daughter Laurie Ann Carr, of Portsmouth, RI. And also three step sons Thomas A. Donahue Jr. of Tulsa, OK, Timothy Donahue of Texas and Troy Donahue of Newport, RI, one step daughter Christine Marie Donahue of Middletown, RI, two brothers William P. Craft of Newport, RI, and Thomas R. Craft of Middletown, RI, two sisters Ann P. Glynn of Middletown, RI, and Margaret E. ONeill of Newport, RI. One granddaughter and one expected grandchild, and three step grandsons. She was the sister of the late Jason Craft.Her funeral will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport followed with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown. Donations may be made in her memory to the Newport County Community Mental Health Center, 127 Johnny Cake Road, Middletown, RI 02842.
