Irene (Lavigne) Heslin of Tiverton, RI passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the age of 95.
She resided at Brookdale Sakonnet Bay in Tiverton with her husband Brendan. They had recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Irene was born in Rumford, Maine; she was the oldest daughter of Romeo and Marie (Bouchard) Lavigne.
Along with her husband, Irene leaves four daughters: Marie Bastone and her husband James of Northbridge, MA; Regina Skudera and her husband Wayne of Jamestown, RI; Kathleen Carlson and her husband Urban of Helsingborg, Sweden; and Christine Sibilia and her husband Christopher of Rumson, NJ. Irene also leaves 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00, and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Rd, Portsmouth, RI.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 11 at 10:30 at Saint Christophers Church, 1554 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI. Burial will be private.
