Irene P. Marano

Irene P. Marano, age 82, of Portsmouth died Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Newport Hospital. Mrs. Marano was born July 31, 1933 in Portsmouth, RI. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Rose (Augustine) Lima. She married Michael Joseph Marano on April 14, 1956 and they remained married for 59 years. In addition to her parents Irene is predeceased by her brother Albert Lima and her sister Elisabeth Rose.She is survived by her husband, Michael Marano Sr. of Portsmouth, RI, her son Michael Marano Jr. and his wife Deborah of Newport, RI, her son, Matthew Marano and his wife Michelle Lamuniere of Summerville, MA and Portsmouth, RI and several nieces and nephews.Private services were held on September 4, 2015.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).
