Isabelle Elliott

Middletown, RI - Isabelle Smith Elliot, 92, of 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of 3 Keeher Avenue, Newport, died peacefully Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at John Clarke Nursing Center, Middletown, RI. She was the former wife of the late Robert L. Elliot. Born in Lonsdale, RI on August 12, 1915, she was the daughter of the late James and Isabella Moore Smith. Isabelle was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Newport. She worked for over 10 years at the Newport Hospital as a receptionist in the ER. She is survived by a brother Charles W. Smith, her son Robert C. Elliott of Newport, her daughter Nancy D. Quinn and her husband Charles of Newport, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Mrs. James Smith. She was the sister of the late James Smith, Raymond Smith and Wilson Smith. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2008, with calling hours held from 10-11am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 am in Hambly Funeral Home, 30 Red Cross Ave, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
