- James Ai Goodheart, 71, of 218 Riverside Street, Portsmouth, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at the Miriam Hospital Providence, RI.He was the husband of Anna Grey Goodheart.Born in Exeter, NY, on April 16, 1931, he was the son of the late James Edward and Alice Trudeau Goodheart. Mr. Goodheart was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War and Vietnam for 20 years as a cook. From 1982-1985, he worked as a grounds keeper for the Doris Duke Estate of Newport. He was a member of the St. John?s Masonic Lodge of Portsmouth and the Tiverton VFW Post #5392, and the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by three sons James Ai Goodheart Jr. of Elk Grove, CA, Mark F. Goodheart of Seekonk, MA, and Kim L. Goodheart of Warwick, RI, three daughters Linda Ann Murak of Exeter, RI, Denise R. Aguiar of Middletown, RI, and Renee E. Goodheart-Thomas of Eufaula, AL, and 10 Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 11:00AM in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
