Betty, 100, of Middletown, RI, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Blenheim Newport.He was the husband of Marie-Louise (Spooner) Betty and the late Catherine (Welch) Betty.Born on October 19, 1912, in Middletown, RI, he was the son of the late James A. and Abbie (Tucker) Betty.Mr. Betty attended Rogers High School. He worked as a diesel mechanic and inspector for Shortline, Bonanza Bus Lines, and Peter Pan for thirty years, retiring in 1977.James was a communicant of St. Lucy's Church.
