Jesup, GA - James ?Toby? Roubidoux, husband of the late Maureen Sullivan Roubidoux, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Savannah, Georgia. He was the husband of the late Maureen Elizabeth Sullivan Roubidoux. Born in St. Louis, MO on July 5, 1937, he was the son of the late John and Lucille Roubidoux.James became a long time resident of Newport, where he was an active member of the Newport Little League and Babe Ruth League. He was also retired from Raytheon Company, as well as a United States Navy Veteran. From Rhode Island he moved to Delaware for a few years and also lived in Florida for a few years before moving to Georgia, where he was an active member of the V.F.W. Club. He as an active member of the Moose and Elks Club while he was a resident of Florida as well.James is survived by his son and daughter in-law Jim and Dawn Roubidoux of Middletown, RI, his daughter Dana Roubidoux of Frederica, DE, four grandchildren James and Nolan Roubidoux of Middletown, RI and Charles and Katherine Harvey of Frederica, DE, his brother John ?Shot? Roubidoux of St. Louis, MO, his special niece Kathy Zulauf who helped him in his time of need of Bellevue, NE and a host of other nieces and nephews in the Rhode Island and St. Louis area.He was the brother of the late Janice Withers of St. Louis, MO. His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2007, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Josephs Church, Broadway and Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, from 4-8, in the funeral home.
