Janette C. White

Middletown, RI - Janette Cabrita White, 92, formerly of John Clarke Retirement Center, Middletown, RI, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Jesse C. White. Born in Middletown, RI on January 24, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Manuel P. and Gloria Vieira Cabrita. Mrs. White loved playing bridge with her friends at the Middletown Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling and watching the surfers at Second Beach while reading. She is survived by her son Robert J. and his wife Colette Dalpe White of Middletown, RI, her daughter Judith M. and her husband Robert Rafferty of Lawton, MI, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Manuel P. Cabrita. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 9:00am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008, from 4-8pm in the funeral home.
