Jayla Marie Hudson

Jayla Marie Hudson, 6, of Quaker Lane, Warwick, passed away early Friday morning, August 31, 2012 at Hasbro Children's Hospital, due to complications of Cockayne Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder.She was the smiling daughter of Jason and Jennifer (Nott) Hudson of Warwick.Born in Warwick on August 12, 2006, Jayla was a smiling child that brought joy to everyone who was near. A dream came true for her when she was able to meet her favorite Disney character, Tinkerbell, when she went to Florida on a Make A Wish trip. She will be missed by her family, friends and teachers at Drum Rock Early Childhood Center in Warwick.In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents, Michael and Shanon (Lynch) Nott of Portsmouth, RI, Carl Hudson of Spencerport, NY and Mary Vreeland of Fredericksburg, VA, as well as her uncle Jeff Hudson of Spencerport, NY.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 2, from 4:00-7:00pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her funeral services will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 10:00am in the Connors Funeral Home.
