Middletown, RI - Jean Paul Schneider, 75, of 14 Algonquin Drive, Middletown, RI, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the beloved husband of Beverly Ann O?Brien Schneider. Born in Washington, DC on February 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Frederick Valentine and Anna McGee Schneider.Mr. Schneider was a 1950 graduate of Vespar George Art School in Boston. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Schneider was an electronics field engineer for 30 years for NUSC, retiring in 1986. After retiring from NUSC, he worked for Vitro Corp until 1996. Mr. Schneider attended St. Lucys Church, and recently converted to Catholicism. He was a member of the AARP and the National Parkinsons Association. Mr. Schneider was a talented artist who enjoyed, reading, traveling and spending time with his family. Besides his wife of 38 years, he is survived by his children: Frederick W. Schneider of Queens, NY, Catherine A. Schneider of Foster, RI, and Robert T. Schneider of Jersey City, NJ, his brothers Troy B. Schneider of Middletown, RI, and Walter R. Schneider of Gainesville, GA, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Schneider, Joseph Schneider, and Sara Van Nostrand. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 8:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 1 St. Jude Place Building, P.O.
