Jean "Bean" Sabetti, 68, of Newport died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family and "Croc."Jean was born September 9, 1946 in Attleboro, MA, daughter of the late Harold Henry and Mildred Dolly (Healy) Hyland.Bean was married to the late James Sabetti.Jean was a valued member of the staff at Heatherwood Nursing Home for over 27 years. Beanie loved gardening, quahogging, camping and fishing with her nephews. She loved "crushing the boys" during their poker games, was an avid game player and loved jigsaw puzzles. Bean was the biggest Mickey Mouse fanatic, but her family and Croc were most important in her life. Beanie had an amazing sense of humor, she was a "tough bird," and was as ornery as the day is long.In addition to her parents and husband, Jean is predeceased by her sisters Rose Mutlow, Gladys McLean, Virginia Ducharme, Ann Rivet, and Janice Abrams.She is survived by her children Kirsten Lynne of Portsmouth, RI, James Sabetti Jr. of San Diego, CA, Doug Sabetti and his wife Sue McNally of Newport, RI, and Jeff Sabetti and his wife Donna Correia of Middletown, RI, her brother Everett Hyland of North Attleboro, MA, her grandchildren; Cailyn, Taylor, A.J., Ashley, Colby, Samantha, and Mikayla; her great grandchildren: Kya, Kendall, and Gavin; her canine companion Croc; several nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday April 14, 2015 from 5-8 pm in Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport RI.A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Memorial Funeral Home.
