Jeanette H. Lecroy

Jeanette H. Cox LeCroy, 68, of Clearview Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.She was the wife of Alton B. LeCroy.Born in Newport, RI on February 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Jeanette C. Johnson Cox.Mrs. LeCroy was an interior designer and was formerly employed at Newport Electric for 20 years. A woman of many talents, Jeanette enjoyed painting and was an artist, crafter and designer. Nothing meant more to her than caring for her family.In addition to her husband of 32, years, she is survived by two daughters, Danielle Potts and her husband, Kenneth, of Portsmouth, RI and Monique LeCroy, also of Portsmouth, RI; a step-daughter, Claudette Hoffman and her husband, John, of Milford, OH; two grandchildren, Lyla Jeanette LeCroy and Luke Edward Potts; a sister, Joan Karoli of Middletown, RI; and a brother, Kenneth Cox of St. Simons Island, GA. She was the sister of the late Robert Cox.A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2011 from 10 am until 1 pm at Green Valley Country Club, 371 Union Street, Portsmouth, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeanettes memory may be made to Rhode Island Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02906 where she received excellent care.
