Jeanne Dutra Porter

Brownwood, TX ? Jeanne Dutra Porter, 60, of 4501 River Oaks Drive, Brownwood, TX, formerly of Middletown, RI, died Friday, February 4, 2005, at home.She was the wife of Robert Porter. Born in Middletown, RI, on January 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Manual and Dorothy Costa Dutra. Mr. and Mrs. Porter were married in Newport, RI, on September 21, 1974, at the Chapel By The Sea on the Newport Naval Base. Prior to her marriage she worked for Raytheon Corporation in the photo lab and later for the Sakonnet Times newspaper where she was a photographer and photo essay feather writer. Her loves throught out her life were, english horseback riding and jumping, fishing, needlepoint, counted cross stitch and computer graphics. Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers Paul Dutra, Peter Dutra and Martin Dutra all of Middletown, RI, her mother in law Bernice Porter of Brownwood, TX, two brothers in law Richard Porter and Charles Porter both of Brownwood, TX, two sisters in law Linda Porter and Elisa Porter both of Brownwood, TX, eight nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late John D. Dutra. Her funeral will be held Thursday, February 10, 2005, at 8:00AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
