Jeanne E. Berggren

Middletown, RI - Jeanne E. Hayden Berggren, 85, of 132 Prospect Avenue, Middletown, RI, died on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Village House Nursing Home, Newport.She was the wife of Arthur Curtis Berggren. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on June 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Littleton and Ethel Tucker Hayden.Mrs. Berggren worked as an executive assistant for Music Worcester for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the United Congregational Church in Worcester, MA and attends the United Congregational Church in Middletown. She was also a member of the Worcester Chorus and Church Choir. Jeanne enjoyed walking and traveling. Besides her husband of 58 years, she is survived by her son Arthur Curtis Berggren, Jr., and his wife, Linda, of Hope Valley, RI, her daughter Christina L. Moynagh of Ayre, MA, her sister Marjorie Millett of Hillsboro, NH, her granddaughter Megan Moynagh of Ayre, MA and many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Florence Irving.A memorial service in her memory will be held on June 12, 2010 at 2PM at the United Congregational Church, 524 Valley Road, Middletown, RI.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906, or to the American Cancer Society of Rhode Island, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
