Jeanne Frances Sullivan

Middletown, RI - Jeanne Sullivan, 92, of Middletown, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Dennis B. Sullivan. Born in Newport, RI on November 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Francis D. and Rose (Shea) Sullivan. Jeanne graduated from Rogers High School in 1938 and from the Newport Secretarial School. Mrs. Sullivan started her career at the Newport Torpedo Station and retired from the Middletown Public School system. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a communicant of St. Lucys Church. She is survived by her children, Dennis Sullivan Jr. and his wife Christine of West Hartford, CT, Brian Sullivan and his wife Kathleen of Tiverton, RI, and Kevin Sullivan and his wife Patti of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Mary Frigault of Warwick, RI, her son-in-law Arthur Moitoza, eleven grandchildren Matthew Sullivan, Julia Rouse, Bridge Higgenbottom, Ben Sullivan, Brendan Sullivan, James Moitoza, Elizabeth Fenster, Erin Moitoza, Bethanie Velasco, Kara Sullivan and Katie Sullivan as well as four great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Kathleen (Sullivan) Moitoza, and the sister of the late Robert Sullivan and Frank Sullivan.Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Brown's Lane, Middletown.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
