Portsmouth, RI - Jeanne L. (Gariepy) Pilacik, 90, of Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Village House Nursing Home, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Alphonse Pilacik. Born in Fall River, MA on September 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Emma (Forand) Gariepy.Mrs. Pilacik was a graduate of Dominican Academy in Fall River. She worked at the Navy Base during World War II as a bookkeeper. She is survived by her children, Roland Pilacik of Pittsburgh, PA, and Vivian Cardoza and her husband Steven of Portsmouth, RI, her grandchildren, Jessica Overton of Santiago, Chile, Christopher Cardoza of Portsmouth and Rebecca Pilacik of Pittsburgh, PA, and her great grandchildren, Noah and Maya Overton, Olive and Bryce Cardoza and James Gossett.Calling hours will be held on Friday June 29, 2012 from 5-8pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.Her funeral will be held on Saturday June 30, 2012 at 9:00am, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
