Jeffrey Allan Parker

Newport, RI - Jeffrey Allan Parker, 41, of 73 Burnside Avenue Newport, died Friday, February 20, 2004 at Miriam Hospital Providence, RI. Born in Newport, RI on March 18, 1962, he was the son of Phyllis Parker of Newport, RI. Mr. Parker was a 1980 graduate of Rogers High School with honors and had served two years in the U.S. Navy as a yeoman in Meridian, Mississippi. He was formerly employed at Stop and Shop and Walmart. Mr. Parker formerly lived in Chicago, Illinois where he worked for the Internal Revenue Service and in Los Angeles, California where he worked at Nordstroms and Marshalls. He was a member of the Community Baptist Church. An avid bowler, he bowled on various leagues. His hobbies were music, reading, arts and entertainment and he was a trivia buff. Besides his mother he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Martha Parker and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.A memorial service will be held Friday, February 27, 20047, at 11:00 AM in Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.
