Jeffrey Gordon Sweeney

Jeffrey Gordon Sweeney, 44, of Newport, RI, passed away on September 1, 1996, in Newport Hospital.Born on June 21, 1952 in Newport, RI, he was the son of Gordon J. and Ellen (Quigley) Sweeney.Jeff was a lifelong resident of Newport, a member of the Newport Elks and St. Marys Church. He worked for various Hotels in Newport and Florida. Jeff also worked as a supervisor for many years for Festival Productions Inc.Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Jane Sweeney Kent of Newport, RI, his niece and his nephew.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday September 6, 1996 at 9am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport, RI.His burial will take place in Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI.
