Steeves, 63, of 333 Green End Avenue, Middletown, formerly of Newport, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, at the Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on November 21, 1940, he was the son of the late John E. and Phyllis Swift Steeves. Mr. Steeves worked as a chef in Newport. He previously worked at the Viking Hotel, the Canfield House, and the Sea Breeze Caf. He is survived by three brothers David Steeves of South Carver, MA, Lawrence Steeves of Newport, RI, and William Steeves of Portsmouth, RI, his twin sister Judith Savio of Myerstown, PA, three sisters Sandra Cooper of Charleston, SC, sister Pamela Roche of Middletown, RI, and sister Lynn Bricker of Middletown, RI, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and great nephews. He was also the brother of the late Holly Huffines. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at 11:00AM, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.
