Jerry Patton Leek Middletown, RI - Jerry Patton Leek, 88, of Blenheim, Middletown, RI, formerly of Squantum Drive and Valley Road, died on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Newport Hospital, Newport. Born in St. Joseph, MO on January 29, 1922, she was the daughter of the late William B. and Ota Nelson Patton.Mrs. Leek worked as a bookkeeper in the late 40s for GE Monowatt Plant in the 50s for W. T. Grant Company as a credit manager and for the Oak Street Garage as a bookkeeper for 20 years, retiring in 1981.She was a communicant of St. Marys Church, Newport. She enjoyed entertaining her friends and traveling. She is survived by her granddaughters, Doreen Caruso, Marie Leek and Jessica Leek, and five great grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Gene Charles Leek and the sister of the late Pat PattonHer funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 9:00am, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held the morning of the service from 8-9am.Memorial donations may be made to the Pilot House, 240 Colony Street, Fairfield, CT, 06824, which was started by Doreen Caruso for her son Christopher who was diagnosed with autism.
