Portsmouth, RI - Jill Ann Renaud Warnke, 71, of 2368 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, died on Tuesday May 4th, 2010, at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Richard August Warnke. Born in Dover, NH on September 4, 1938, she was the daughter of Leopold and Theresa Laronde Renaud.Mrs. Warnke was a long time employee of NE Telephone and an Interior Decorator. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and a former President of the NH Jaycee Womens club and recognized as one of five outstanding presidents during her tenure. Mrs. Warnke was instrumental in the early years in organizing and planning the Somersworth Childrens Festival. She had a life long love of reading, music and the theatre, yet loved nothing more then being a mother and grandmother. Mrs. Warnke and her husband were long time residents of Somersworth, NH and recently moved to Portsmouth, RI from Keene, NH and had previously resided in Leesburg, FL. Besides her husband with whom she recently celebrated 50 years of marriage, she is survived by her children, Richard Paul Warnke of Howell, NJ, Ann Rash of Berwick, ME, Karen Warnke ONeill of Shrewsbury, MA, Jean Schultz of Brattleboro, VT, and JoAnn Warnke-Black of Portsmouth, RI, her mother Theresa Renaud of Dover, NH, her brother Paul Renaud of Sanford, ME, her sister Judith Renaud of Dover, NH and her six beloved grandchildren, Alexandra Schultz, Matthew Schultz, Samuel Black, Noah Black, Brianna Rash and Molly ONeill. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 9:00AM, from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM, in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be private.Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the funeral home.
