Joan Baker

Newport, RI - Joan LeDuc Baker, 64, of 70 Harrison Avenue, Newport, RI, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at Village House Nursing Home, Newport, RI.She was the lifetime companion of Robert Kuiee. Born in Newport, RI on December 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Norman Arthur and Marjorie Silvia LeDuc.Mrs. Baker loved to play Bingo and loved her dog Meanie. Joan also loved family gatherings. Besides her companion, she is survived by her children, Norman Baker, Jr., Dana Leavitt and Debra Barksdale, her sister Beverly LeDuc, ten grandchildren, Kathy, John, Josh, C.J., D.J., Korey, Dee, J. R., Kayla, Derek and Mellisa, seven great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved..She was the sister of the late brother Arthur LeDuc. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2009, from 12-4pm, at the V.F. W., Underwood Lane, Middletown, RI.
