PORTSMOUTH, RI - John A. ?Jack? Bautista, 71, of 51 Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, February 27, 2006 at Silver Creek Manor, Bristol, RI. He was the husband of Joan Martha Costello Bautista. Born in Providence, RI on August 26, 1934, he was the son of the late John Peter and Lois Michaud Bautista. Mr. Bautista attended East Providence High School prior to serving during the Korean Conflict in the Airforce for 3 years. He went on to work as an electrician at Electric Boat for 10 years. He worked as a Sales Representative for various meat company?s. He was a member of the Newport Lodge of Elks, the Portsmouth Senior Center, Portsmouth Evangelical Friends Church and he was President several years prior to his illnesses for the Anthony House Association. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons, Kenneth W. Moyer of Middletown, RI, Steven G. Moyer of Fall River, MA, and John R. Bautista of West Warwick, RI, his daughters Bonnie Solitro of Warren, RI, Cheryl Strak of Portsmouth, RI, Kathy Crossen of Richmond, RI, and Cindy Munroe of Connecticut, his sister Irene Pare of Coventry, RI, two grandchildren Shannon Marshall of Middletown, RI and Jamin Marshall of Middletown, RI and one great grandson Nicholas Marshall of Middletown, RI. His funeral will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006, at 11:00AM, in Portsmouth Evangelical Friends Church, 11 Middle Road, Portsmouth, RI.
