John Francis Evans Jr

Portsmouth, RI - John Francis Evans, Jr., 56, of 43 Dighton Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, November 13, 2003 at home. Born in Fall River, MA on August 22, 1947, he was the son of the late John F. Evans Sr. and Margaret C. Lenaghan Evans.Mr. Evans was a self employed contractor and furniture refinisher for more than 20 years. Previously he worked for GE in the late 60s thru the mid 70s, doing inventory control at the former Monowatt Plant in Newport. He is survived by his brother Robert J. Evans of Lakewood, CO, his sister Carolyn Evans-Carbery of Portsmouth, RI, one niece and one nephew.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2003, 11:00 AM in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Patrick?s Cemetery, 2233 Robeson Street, Fall River, MA. Donations in his memory may be made to the Portsmouth Volunteer Fire Dpt. Rescue Wagon Fund, P.O.
