John Francis Raposa Jr

Middletown, - John Francis Rapoza Jr., 72, of 4A Ludlow Road Middletown, died Friday, June 18, 2004 at home. Born in Portsmouth, RI on July 3, 1931, he was the son of the late John Francis Raposa Sr. and Emily Alvarnas Raposa. He had served in the United States Army for over twenty-six years. Mr. Rapoza had worked @ Fort Rodman in New Bedford for many years and at the Neport Naval Base. Civil Service He enjoyed Nascar Racing. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl McQuade of Sylva, NC, two sons Gerald Rapoza of Newport, RI, and Jody Rapoza of Center Point, LA, four brothers William Raposa of Tiverton, RI, Edward Raposa of Portsmouth, RI, Richard Raposa of CT, and Leroy Raposa of Portsmouth, RI, his sister Shirley Durfee of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, and seven grandchildren.He was the brother of the late John F. Raposa III. His funeral will be held Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at 11:00 am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
