Skiffington, 83, of 2 A Ludlow Road Middletown died Friday, May 9, 2003 at John Clarke Nursing Center Middletown, RI.He was the husband of the late Mary Louise Carney Skiffington. Born in Boston, MA on April 19, 1920, he was the son of the late Mark Skiffington and Mary McCue Skiffington Mr. Skiffington worked as a Administrative Assistant for many years for the Middletown Police Department. He was a member of St. Lucys Church Middletown for many years where he had been involved in many church functions and had been an usher and altar server. He was a World War II Navy Veteran.He is survived by his brother Mark Skiffington of Boston, MA and his sister Claire Rhodes of Lower Burrell, PA.He was the father of the late Gerard Skiffington. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 at 7:30am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.
