Newport, RI - John Quarry, 46, of Girard Avenue Newport passed away January 17, 2011 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.Born in Newport, on October 30, 1964, he was the son of Robert and Marlene Backus Quarry of Gouverneur, NY.John worked in construction for Newport Roofing Company and formerly for R.J. Cauley.Besides his parents, John leaves his brothers and sisters Roland Quarry of Newport, Jan Borgeson and her husband Norman of Gouverneur, NY, Ann Spencer and her husband Jerry of Middletown, Douglas Quarry of Dallas, GA, Loretta Granger of Newport and Christopher Quarry of Gouverneur, NY. He also leaves his nephews Randy, Bobby and John as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 10 - 11am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport followed by a funeral service at 11 am in the funeral home.Burial will take place in Newport, Memorial Park
