John H. Robertson Jr

Newport, RI - John H. Robertson, Jr., 80, of 30 Caswell Avenue Newport, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.He was the husband of the late Delvida Silvia Robertson. Born in Cascade, Virginia on March 18, 1925, he was the son of the late John H. and Nannie Southern Robertson. John was a 20 year Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Navy. He worked in construction building the Newport Bridge.He was a member of the Carpenters Union, the VFW of Middletown and the Fleet Reserve. He is survived by his children Raymond J. Arruda of Griffin, GA, Barbara Mahoney, Julia Mahoney and Shirley Sullivan all of Newport, RI, Raymond Robertson and John Robertson, his brother Julian T. Robertson of Danville, VA, his grandchildren Jason Arruda, Stacey Jaquess and David Arruda all of Griffin, GA, Joseph Todd Arruda and John Allen Mahoney both of Hyannis, MA, Raymond Joseph Mahoney, Renee Barrett and Theodore Mahoney all of Atlanta, GA, Tracy Mahoney of Eugene, OR, Marie Donohue of Centerville, MA, Durant Jenkins of Pennsylvania and Maxine Yohe of Virginia and fifteen great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Robert E. Robertson and Kenneth D. Robertson, and the grandfather of the late Joan Lynn Arruda and Sean Mahoney.
