John J. Kinsella, 68 of Newport, passed away September 22, 2011 in Newport Hospital.He leaves his beloved wife and caregiver Ramona A. Kinsella.Born in Newport on October 1, 1942, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Mary Kelley Kinsella.Mr. Kinsella worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT as a grinder for several years. He also worked as a houseman for Courtyard by Marriott before retiring. He was a huge Red Sox Fan and enjoyed vacationing in Maine and flea markets.Besides his wife of 32 years he will be sadly missed by his children, Daniel M. Kinsella of Newport, Diane C. Silvia and her husband Jeffrey of Portsmouth, RI, Julie A. Gannon and her husband Michael of Gore, VA, and John J. Kinsella of Malaysia. He was the beloved Papa of Alexandra Silvia, Alyssa Silvia and will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael Gannon, Conor Gannon, Katherine Gannon, Morgan Gannon, Ian F. Kinsella, Daniel Montclam and Ashley Montclam as well as several nieces and nephews.John was the brother of Edward Kinsella of Newport and Ann Botelho of Middletown. He also leaves dear family friends Tina Reiter as well as John and Shirley Beausoleil John was the brother of the late Mary B. Kinsella and brother in law of the late Frank Botelho.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, from 4 -7 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.Donations in his memory may be made to the Newport Rescue Fund, 21 West Marlborough Street, Newport, RI 02840.
