John Michael Sniezek, 64, of Tiverton, passed away on June 8, 2020 at St. Annes Hospital.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of Theresa (Otis) Sniezek of Tiverton and the late George J Sniezek Sr.
John was a lifelong resident of Tiverton. He was a 1974 graduate of Tiverton High School, and a 1988 graduate of the Diman School for Licensed Practical Nursing. One of Johns passions was his love of nursing, and he truly enjoyed caring for his patients, interacting with their families and developed lifelong friendships with the staff he worked with. He was a natural Geriatric nurse, and worked for over 20 years at the Fall River Jewish Home, and most recently he worked for Lifestream Inc., providing care to adults in a residential group setting. John also enjoyed cooking, theatre arts, gardening, and decorating. He and his companion, Thomas Francis of Somers, CT also enjoyed antique shows and shared the love of rescue dogs. John was also a wonderful son and care taker for his mom. He was always thinking of her and whats best for his family. He was a wonderful brother and uncle.
John was extremely kind, and loved everyone. He will be deeply missed.
Besides his mother, John leaves his sister Barbara Murray and her fianc John Irwin,
His niece and godchild, Kimberly Murray, his great niece Madison Murray-Forbus, and His companion Thomas Francis.
He was the brother of the late George J Sniezek Jr, and uncle of the late Melissa J. Murray
A celebration of Johns life will be held, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 1:15PM graveside at Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Main Road, Tiverton, RI
