Jose Antonio Marrero

Jose Antonio Marrero Newport, RI - Jose Antonio Marrero, 84, of 87 Girard Avenue Apt. 217, Newport, RI, formerly of Kissimmee, FL and Providence, RI, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of the late Mercedes Marrero. Born in Puerto Rico, on March 30, 1922, he was the son of the late Frederico and Esperanza Mendez Marrero. Jose owned and operated Marrero?s Painting Company for 40 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his friend Minerva Morales, his step son Eluterio ?Eddy? Irizarry of Tampa, FL, his daughter Lydia Marrero of New York City, NY, and his grandchildren Daniel Irizarry, Eddy Irizarry and Sammy Irizarry. His funeral will be private.
