Joseph C. Lipinski

Portsmouth, RI - Joseph C. Lipinski, 77, of 153 Locust Avenue, Portsmouth, died Thursday, October 14, 2004 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI.He was the husband of Claire Connors Lipinski of Portsmouth, RI. Born in St. Louis, MO on May 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Jozef and Lillian Kruszewska Lipinski. Mr. Lipinski served 20 years in the United States Navy, he was stationed in E. Africa, Turkey and England. After his 20 years in service he went to work for the Federal Civil Service on the Newport Naval Base in communications. Mr. Lipinski was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Portsmouth, RI. Besides his wife of 41 years he is survived by two sons Brian Lipinski of Bristol, RI, and Thomas Lipinski of Charlotte, NC, his daughter Karen Kosoff of Portsmouth, RI, his sister Irene Wilhelm of St. Louis, MO, and four grandchildren Mikaela Kosoff and Jenna Kosoff both of Portsmouth, RI, and Logan Lipinski and Kyle Lipinski both of Charlotte, NC. His funeral will be held on Monday, October 18, 2004, at 9:00AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
