Portsmouth, RI - Joseph P. Pelletier, 74 of Portsmouth, RI, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home in Portsmouth, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Ann (Marques) Pelletier for the last 52 years. Born in Adams, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Mary E. (Lucina) Pelletier.Mr. Pelletier served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 20 years, retiring in 1976.He is survived by his wife Ann Pelletier of Portsmouth, his sons Joseph Pelletier and his wife Paula of MA, and Douglas Pelletier of RI, his daughter Carolyn Pelletier of MA, his grandchildren, Michelle Houlihan, Andrew and Elizabeth Pelletier, Chelsea and Sean Spain, Matthew Pelletier and Sarah Jackson, five great-grandchildren, and his three sisters, Susan Gould, Theresa Doyle and Beatrice Pelletier. He was preceded in death by his daughter Elizabeth Ann Medeiros. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 12, 2012, from 4:00-7:00pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a remembrance service to be held at 7pm.
