Joseph F. Rodrigues

Middletown, RI - Joseph F. Rodrigues, Jr., 78, formerly of 40 Freebody Street, Newport, died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown. Born in Middletown on May 11, 1929, he was the son of the late Jose F. and Gloria Marques Rodrigues.Mr. Rodrigues was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a painter for the former Donald Anderson Contracting Co. in Newport before retiring 16 years ago.He is survived by his sister, Mary J. OConnor of Middletown, and four nieces and three nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel ?Rod? Rodrigues. Burial with military honors in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown will be private.
