Joseph Francis Escobar

Middletown, - Joseph Francis Escobar, 74, of 424 Third Beach Road Middletown, died Sunday, August 31, 2003 at 115A Niagra Street Middletown, RI. He was the husband of the former Olive Moniz Escobar of Newport. Born in Middletown, RI on December 28, 1928, he was the son of Philomena F. Vierra Escobar of Middletown, and the late John R. Escobar.Mr. Escobar worked for the Newport Housing Authority for twenty-eight years in the Maintenance Department. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He is survived by three daughters Barbara Clayton, Brenda Escobar and Maryanne Rosario all of Newport, RI, two brothers John F. Escobar Jr. of Reno, NV, and George Escobar of North Kingstown, RI, her sister Rose Faustino of Middletown, RI, seven grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.Mr. Escobar was the brother of the late Henry Escobar and Mary Wilhouse.
