Joseph Lee Butler, Sr., 76, of Fall River, MA died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Annes Hospital of Fall River, MA. He was the husband of the late Marsha (Robinson) Butler.Born on March 6, 1939, in Newport, RI, he was the son of the late John W. and Iva P. (White) Butler, Sr.Joseph worked for over 20 years as a Print Shop Operator in Boston for the Federal Government. He was an avid basketball and baseball fan who loved the Red Sox. He also loved to drive.He is survived by his son Joseph Butler, Jr. of Marshfield, MA, his siblings, Emmett R. Butler and Gertrude Johnson of Middletown, RI and Paula Butler of San Diego, CA, his granddaughter Kalani L. Butler of Boston, MA, his very dear friend and companion Charlene Striggles, and numerous nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his siblings, Robert, Jack, Francis, Lillian, George, Iva and Lawrence.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 10-11am in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, followed by his funeral service at 11am.Burial will be private.
