CUMBERLAND, RI - Joseph O. Lincourt, 90, of 28 Birchwood Drive, Cumberland, RI, also of Fairview Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Oakland Grove Nursing Home in Woonsocket, RI. He was the husband of Doris A. Parker Lincourt. Born in Newport, RI on May 6, 1915, he was the son of the late Felix and Rose Lemare Lincourt. Joseph worked at the Newport Torpedo Station during World War II. He then worked at AH Barriman for 40 years in Attleboro, MA as a master tool maker. He also developed molds for product prototypes at Standard Plastics, Augut then Matrix where he was employed until retiring at the age of 72 in 1987. Mr. Lincourt was active with Troop 1 Boy Scouts in Cumberland, RI. He was a member of St. John Viani Church and Catholic Charities. Joseph enjoyed archery, tennis, golf and hunting, and was a fan of all sports. Besides his wife of 60 years, he is survived by his sons William Joseph Lincourt of North Smithfield, RI, Robert Charles Lincourt of Cumberland, RI, and John Paul Lincourt of Lincoln, RI, his siblings Henry Lincourt of Seal Beach, CA, Edmond Lincourt and William Lincourt both of Newport, RI, Blanche Matthews and Monica Marcucci both of Middletown, RI, Alice Williams of Seal Beach, CA, and Mary Fess of Rochester, NY, eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Arthur Lincourt, Leo Lincourt, Albert Lincourt, Paul Lincourt, Emma Sullivan, Ernestine Chapin, Dalvina Clark, Bertha Lincourt, and Valentine Lincourt. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at 9:00 AM from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Marys Churchyard in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 8, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Connors Funeral Home.
